"When Trouble Comes! Find Peace With God"

Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Jonah 2:2-9, 2 Corinthians 4:8-18, Philippians 4:4-9 and John 16:33. The topic was “When Trouble Comes! Find Peace with God” with the following subtopics:

 “Find God in Prayer”

When God have something for you to do; you will do it. God put Jonah in a situation where he thought he was dead. Jonah realized in the stomach of the whale, he had to call on the Lord. The Lord heard him. Don’t never get to the point where God has cast you out of His sight and he want hear you. Sometimes we can be so deep in sins and no one can save you but Lord. Remember the Lord and there is a way out. Don’t turn away from the Lord. Give thanksgiving to the Lord.

“Never Give In”

We are pressured in every way, crushed but not without hope because Jesus is with you every step of the way. Always carry around the body of Jesus so that the resurrection life of Jesus can be shown in our body. Death is not the end. The spirit leaves the body and must be a holy spirit that can leave that corruptible body to enter into an incorruptible (your) body. Do not become discouraged by the situation (tribulation) of life. This is our outer self. Your inner self is being renewed day by day. Trouble is supposed to teach you to depend on Jesus. These things are temporary; but the things that are invisible are everlasting.

“Find Peace”

Rejoice in the Lord. Take pleasure in Him. Let your gentle spirit, graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience be known to all people. Do not be worried about anything.  Practice all these things. Pray for those who wronged you. Open your heart and forgive like God forgave you. Practice these things in life and the God of Peace will be with you. Make sure your temple is clean.

“While Filled With Joy”

The Lord wants you to have perfect peace. In this would you will have tribulation, distress, and suffering. Be courageous, confident and filled with joy. Jesus has overcome the world. The Lord was nailed to the cross for our sins.  Jesus trusted in the Lord that he will be delivered and His Father came and delivered Him from death. Jesus overcame the World.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
