"THE LOVE OF GOD"
Pastor Johnson’s message came from Leviticus 19:33-34, Deuteronomy 11:1-8, Matthew 5:33-48, and John 3:16-18. The topic was “The Love of God” with the following subtopics:
“Showing Love”
When a stranger comes to your church, you should not mistreat him. Love him as you love yourself. Treat him the way you want to be treated. You have been a stranger before. You want to be treated like you are at home. So treat others that way.
“Experience of Love”
It is your obligation to keep His charge, His statutes, His percepts, and His commandments. You have experience some things in your life that you know only God brought you through. These are things your children have not experience. If you do not keep His charge and doing the things you should; you are not the Christian you say you are. You are a hypocrite.
“Christian Love”
It is your religion duty to keep the vows you made to God. If you do not, you are playing religion. Do not resist a person who does you wrong or hurt you; instead turn the other cheek. Don’t get evil. Maintain your dignity and self respect. If a person wants your shirt give him your shirt and coat. Go the extra mile. Love your enemies and pray for those who have wronged you. You should not just love your friends. Show Christian Love.
“God’s Love”
God loved us so much, He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes and trust in Him as the Savior will have eternal life. Those who believe and trust Him will not be judged, rejected and condemned. The one who does not believe is judged already because he has not believed. God loves us and want all to be saved.
