PASTOR JOHNSON'S 4TH SUNDAY MESSAGE (05/22/2016)

Posted by: Shirley Smith on Mon, May 23, 2016

"KINGDOM BEHAVIOR 2" (GOD'S WORD IS ABSOLUTE)

Pastor Johnson’s message came from Mark 9:43-50, Acts 3:19-21 and 1 Timothy 1:5-17. 4:13-18. The topic was “Kingdom Behavior 2 (God’s Word is Absolute)” with the following sub topics:

“Fighting Temptation”

If the hands cause you to sin, cut it off.  Remove yourself from the source of temptation and sin. Better to enter eternal life cripple than to go to hell. In hell you never stop burning and you never die. The fire never quenched. If your foot makes you sin you cut it off. It is better to go into heaven lame than to have two feet and be cast into hell where the fire never quenched. God word is absolute. Even if your eye offends thee, pluck it out. It is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than having two eyes to be cast into hell. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom. If you don’t correct sin as a Christian, you have lost your saltiness (flavor). You must live the Christian life. Have salt in yourselves and let others see Jesus in you. Have peace with one another.

“The Solution”

The solution is to repent and be converted. Change your inner self, your own way of thinking, regret past sins with contrite heart and return to God. Seek his purpose for your life.

 “The Growth”

Out of a pure heart based on love and because you obey the Lord; you have a good conscience and faith. Don’t listen to idle talk; teachers that don’t understand what they are talking about. The law is not made for a righteous man but the law is for the disobedient, the ungodly, and the unholy and for sinners. The law is not for those in right standing with God. We should thank Jesus for mercy and grace. We should thank Jesus for the fact that He looked past our faults and saved us. The law is not for you because you have Jesus on your side.

Read the scriptures and be blessed!
